The second quarter end goal-less despite India's multiple attempts to find an equaliser and the hosts find themselves a goal down at the end of the first half.

Belgium found the net via Cornez-Massant and have held on to it very dearly with some clinical defensive work led by captain Lucas Balthazar.

Much to ponder about for PR Sreejesh and co during the break.

27' - India not at their best inside the circle

A brilliant tackle from Priyobarta Talem inside the shooting circle and India make a quick counter-attack off it. They enter the circle and the ball finds Arshdeep on the left baseline, but the Belgian defence has it in control.

They need to be better inside the circle, do India.

25' - India's wait for a goal continues

A good injection from Arshdeep to the second battery, where Rohit instead of taking the shot pulls the ball back to Shardanand Tiwari on the first battery.

It was a well thought out variation from India, but the Belgian defence is water tight. Tiwari's shot at the goal is blocked.

A second penalty corner of the match as Manmeet Singh draws a foul out of the Belgian defence at top of the shooting circle.

19' - Brilliant steal from Gurjot

An excellent steal from Gurjot just outside the shooting circle and India have a chance. He puts the ball to Arshdeep, who is surrounded by the Belgian defence.

Arshdeep is caught in two minds on whether he should unleash a tomahawk or look for a pass. Takes an extra second during the process and loses the ball.

END OF FIRST QUARTER!

Quite a lively first quarter. Both teams had their chances but Belgium looked more threatening through out. They reaped the rewards as well as Cornez-Massant found the net late in the quarter.

13' - Belgium SCOREEE!

It was coming and the Indian defence has been caught napping. Cornez-Massant Gaspard with a shot from an acute angle and it beats everyone to storm into the net.

10' - India miss a PC

A brilliant ball into the circle by Talem Priyaborta. It was drilled powerfully and Rosan Kujur does well to receive it. 

Kujur makes a move out of it and takes a shot. It hits a defender's foot and India are handed a penalty corner, the first of the match.

Shardanand Tiwari with the drag flicking duties. It is struck well but the Belgian goalkeeper makes a diving save. 

Belgium get a free hit and create a counter attack via the right flank. The ball is put to the striker in the shooting circle, but isn't collected. 

A sudden spurt of energy on the field!

6' - Manmeet with a shot on goal

A nice aerial ball into the circle and its a brilliant first touch by Manmeet. The striker controls it well and moves forward to take a shot and then the rebound. The Belgian goalkeeper ensures he is denied both times.
