Playing against the Paris Olympics finalist, Antim fought bravely, but that early 4-pointer cost her the bout as she failed to find any opening in the second half.
Although she got a take-down with 16 seconds on the clock, she wasn't able to find any other turns forward and lost a close bout.
3-5.
After her inspiring quarterfinal win, Antim Panghal has booked her spot in the semis, the only Indian wrestler to do so at this event.
She will now face the Olympic silver medalist and the top-seeded Ecuadorian wrestler, Lucía Yépez, in the semi-final at 8:00 PM IST.
This will be the first meeting between the two wrestlers, and whoever wins the bout will be reaching their maiden World Championships final.
Final Score: Manisha Bhanwala (IND) 0-8 Kim Ok-ju (DPR)
Kim capitalized on her 8-0 First-half lead to defeat Manisha, avenging her Asian Championships loss and advancing to the semifinals at the World Championships.
Manisha went all guns blazing in the second half, but Kim's solid defense didn't allow her any chance of a comeback. She will now depend on Repechage for her Maiden World Cships medal.
Half Time: Manisha Bhanwala (IND) 0-8 Kim Ok-ju (DPR)
Manisha was shell-shocked by the powerful play of Kim, who made two take-downs followed by two gut wrenches to gain a massive lead.
