The appeal made for Vinesh Phogat at the Court of Arbitration for Sports will be heard today at the court. The verdict is expected to come by 5:30 PM IST.
Experienced Indian lawyer Harish Salve is expected to represent Vinesh from India and will join the hearing virtually.

What is Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)?
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is an independent organization that provides arbitration and mediation for sports-related disputes.
Established in 1984, CAS is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland and operates under the administrative and financial oversight of the International Council of Arbitration for Sport.
CAS also has courts in New York City and Sydney and sets up temporary courts in Olympic host cities.
During the Paris Olympics, an ad hoc division of CAS has been set up, led by President Michael Lenard from the US. This division is based within the Paris judicial court.

Vinesh's hearing starting soon...
In less than an hour , Vinesh Phogat to present her application infront of Dr. Annabelle Bennett, the sole arbitrator representing the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Vinesh is being backed by a group of French Lawyers and the former solicitor general of India Harish Salve.
Harish Salve is accompanied by Vidushpat Singhania, both of them will represent the Indian Olympic Association presence in the hearing.

What happened exactly?
Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the gold medal bout in the women's 50kg category after failing to make it to the weigh-in on the second day of the competition.
As per the IOC, she was 100 grams overweight during the time of her weigh-in.
Following the uproar created by her disqualification, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) appealed in front of the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) to give her a shared silver as she won her three bouts on the first day with correct weigh-in.
