The Indian Junior men's hockey team continued its campaign at the 2025 Sultan of Johor Cup with its second match of the tournament against New Zealand in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, on Sunday.
Earlier, India started the campaign with a 3-2 win against Great Britain on the first matchday to kick off the tournament on a high note.
The team maintained its momentum against New Zealand and handed them their second defeat of the tournament to rise to the top of the standings.

India's Coach PR Sreejesh wants his team to be more clinical in final moments
India started their campaign with a 3-2 win over Great Britain on Saturday, but it was not a clinical performance for the side as the team failed a lot of chances to score goals.
Team's coach Sreejesh, in a pre-match interview, appealed to the team to be more clinical.
"I'm very happy with the win, but there are still a few things we need to work on, as we had a lot of chances in the opponent's circle but could not convert them into goals. Also, we need to show a better defensive display," He said.
