FIH Pro League: India women lose to China; get relegated – Highlights
Highlights from India's clash against China at the 2024-25 FIH Women's Pro League.

2024-25 FIH Pro League Highlights: The Indian women's hockey team ended their 2024-25 FIH Pro League season with a 2-3 loss at the hands of China in Berlin on Sunday.
Sunelita Toppo opened the scoring with a brilliant reverse stick for India in the first quarter, but China hit back with Zhang Ying scoring a brace with penalty corners in the second quarter.
Rutuja helped India draw level in the third quarter. However, China once again found a penalty corner goal in the fourth quarter to dash India's hopes of ending their campaign on a high.

The first penalty corner is blocked by the Chinese defence but there is a back stick somewhere in there. The umpire fails to spot it, but India ask for a review and are proven right, handing them a second PC.
Navneet Kaur with the drag flick this time and India try a variation. The veteran simply passes the ball to Rutuja, who is standing near the post.
Rutuja simply deflects the ball into the net. As easy as it gets for the youngster. The Chinese defence has been bamboozled. India have drawn level.

A good move from India and Neha Goyal's shot is blocked well by the Chinese goalkeeper. The ball, however, deflects high and India are handed their first penalty corner of the match.

HALF TIME!
That penalty corner conversion from China also brings curtains down on the first half. India took the lead with a beautifully scored field goal from the young Sunelita Toppo in the first quarter, but the Olympic silver medallist have struck back.
India were guilty of conceding too many penalty corners and China, after struggling at first, converted two consecutively in the second quarter to leave their opponents reeling.
Can India put this behind them and bounce back?

India concede another soft penalty corner and China convert once again to take the lead for the first time in this match.
Zhang Ying, once again with the drag flick, and she slots it high right in the middle of the goal post. The Indians are taken aback. That was a powerful shot.

Deng, thankfully, is able to get back on to her feet and walks off the field.
The play resumes and China answer back by scoring a sensational penalty corner. Zhang Ying with the drag flick and it beats the postwoman to the left and thuds into the goal post.
Brilliant work all-round on that penalty corner routine for China as they equalise.
