Welcome to the live blog of The Bridge of Day 3 of the All England Open 2022!
India kept their quest for an All England Open crown going and how! While Lakshya Sen got a walkover from his Chinese opponent, Lu Guang Zu, in the quarterfinals, it was the doubles duo's from India that garnered the most attraction today.
First, the young pair of Gayatri Gopichand/Treesa Jolly produced a stellar performance against 2nd seeded Korean pair of Lee Sohee and Shin Seungchan and came back from a set down to win, 14-21, 22-20, 21-15 to enter the semi-finals on their debut outing.
Meanwhile, the pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty set up an entertaining, high-octane clash against the World No. 1 pair of Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sukamujlo a.k.a the Minions and produced quite the jaw-dropping fight. However, the Indian suffered a 11th straight loss to the Indonesian pair, 24-22, 21-17.

What a close, close miss here! The Minions gets their 11th victory over Sawtik-Chirag!
The level of badminton at this match was high on quality and entertainment but it is Gideon/Sukamuljo who get their 11th win over Satwik-Chirag, 24-22, 21-17.
The Minions were made to work really hard and the rallies in this match were nothing short of a thriller but Satwik-Chirag goes down fighting as the Minions power past into the semi-finals.

Satwik-Chirag keep the pressure on after losing the first set. Probably their mind keeps going back to the 10 losses they have against the Minions. They cannot let nerves affect them!

What a close, close fightback as the Minions take the game 24-22!
Couple of bad misses from Satwik-Chirag costs them the first game which they led from the start! This will hurt. The Minions come back from behind to win Game 1 24-22.
