19' - Medical attention for Deng Qiuchan

Oh my goodness. Deng Qiuchan is hit flush on the face just in front of the net with the ball as Manisha Chauhan tries to clear the ball in a panic. 

Deng is in immense pain and is receiving treatment on the sidelines. Looks like she was hit in the eye. She'll have to be stretchered off the field. Hopefully nothing too serious.

As for the play, the umpire hands a penalty stroke to China for India's dangerous play inside the circle. India ask for a review and get it overturned to a penalty corner instead.

Two back-to-back penalty corners for China and they have squandered both chances. The first drag flick hits the Indian first rusher, handing them a second, which is cleared well by the Indian defence.

India would be extremely pleased with how the first 15 minutes panned out. China looked comfortable and were evidently the better side for the first few minutes but it all changed as the young Sunelita Toppo found the net with a beautiful reverse stick to put the Indians in the lead.

China have failed to convert two penalty corners and have only themselves to blame.

A second penalty corner of the match for China and India's first rusher does exceedingly well to block the drag flick. China regain the possession inside the circle itself and try to build on it, but fail to turn it into anything notable.

Well, well, well...India have opened the scoring against the run of play. A good pass from Neha Goyal, who is crowded by the Chinese defence, to Sunelita Toppo.

The youngster receives the ball well, runs a bit wide to open up a gap and has a clear shot at the goal. It beats the goalkeeper and thuds into the far post. INDIA LEAD!

China continue to apply pressure inside the shooting circle and deservedly earn the first penalty corner of the match, thanks to Vaishnavi's feet.

However, they fail to collect the PC injection cleanly and the drag flick is hit wide.
