Jyothi Yarraji, Shaili Singh, and Ancy Sojan advance to the final

The two female long jumpers, Shaili Singh (6.17m) and Ancy Sojan (6.14m), advanced to the final in the morning session on day 2.

Following them, the national record holder Jyothi Yarraji has also booked her place in the final with a decent time of 13.18s, finishing third in heat 1.
